Network

Your challange sets the direction. By combining deep research expertise with a clear understanding of industrial processes, we develop technologies that work beyond the lab. We do not stop at development. Through technology transfer and training, we enable teams and organizations to apply new solutions in practice.

Technology & Innovation

Dive into selected projects across materials, processes, products, and machines, with a clear focus on industrial application.

BIOTEXFUTURE

Technology Transfer

Biotexfuture stands for an interdisciplinary research and development program focused on replacing petroleum-based materials with bio-based alternatives across textile materials, processes, and products.

CYPRESS

Technology Transfer

CYPRESS aims to establish the Meuse-Rhine region as a pioneer in the sustainable, highly circular, and resource-efficient production of new climate-neutral electric mobility technologies.

Walk4Recycling

Technology Transfer

Under the headline “Walk4Recycling,” a fair tour shows how used textiles are turned into a new flat-knitted sweater made from ring-spun yarn (65% recycled cotton, 35% polyester). The high share of recycled fibers in such fine yarn is innovative, as these materials are usually used only for coarse rotor yarns.

Operations Excellence

Explore projects addressing lean, digitalization & automation to optimize processes, structures & production systems in practice.

Inline AI Vision Inspection in Textile Production

Development

Real-time process monitoring using a digital vision system enables early defect detection and immediate operator alerts. This improves response times, increases product quality, and reduces customer complaints.

SMARAGD

Development & Trainings

SMARAGD is a cross-border Interreg project supporting manufacturing SMEs in the Meuse–Rhine region in adopting digital technologies and sustainable material solutions to improve industrial processes and competitiveness.

Business Development

Gain insights into selected projects focused on textile market understanding and the development of business models adapted to dynamic and changing markets.

Insum

Network

Collaborative hub bringing together industry and research to analyze markets, connect expertise, and advance sustainable innovation in automotive interior systems.

WIRKsam

Development

The WIRKsam Competence Center supports regional companies in the textile industry and related sectors in shaping the workplace of the future and thereby strengthening their competitive position. To this end, we leverage the diverse capabilities of artificial intelligence (AI).

Versatile Trainings

To stay competitive in the textile industry, skilled professionals are essential. We address the shortage of qualified personnel through tailored training programs, innovation consulting, and seminars designed to meet your specific needs.

Our programs are led by highly qualified textile engineers and researchers from the RWTH Aachen University Institute of Textile Technology, giving you access to cutting-edge knowledge, future trends, and the latest research insights.
